Half term update from charis

Hi all thanks for your continued prayers, I just want to give you a very short update on how things are going for me and for the schools work.

Unfortunately I have no bookings to go into schools yet but it is early days and I have to remind myself that I only started contacting schools last month!! I posted out information to all the schools mid September and I have been trying to follow up on this by 'dropping' into schools in the hope of getting a chat with the principal or arranging a time to come back to chat to them, this is hard work and not something that comes naturally to me, thanks for your prayers and words of encouragement.

I have had mixed success in getting to talk to principals, as they are so busy it can be hard to get to see them and/or to get the secretaries to pass on the information.  The first school I went into I got to talk to the principal and she said she would bring it to the bord meeting that was happening that night, I have not heard back from her but I will follow up with this after half term.

I have also been meeting with some of the church leaders here in Waterford to encourage them to ask people in their churches to contact their local schools on my behalf, I have been visiting some of the other Waterford churches on Sundays too and I had a slot in the service of the Lifehouse church last week which was great.

As you know I was looking for people to pray for a specific school and I was and am greatly encouraged by so may of you who are praying for a school- keep it up!!! There are 3 schools left if anyone would still like the name of a school to pray for, just email me and ask.

Half term from school starts today for a week and so I am taking a break from work this week too (as I can't go into schools anyway). I am looking forward to some time off, please pray for good rest and fun and that I can come back to work again with renewed energy and enthusiasm. thanks  again for all your support, encouragement and prayers, God is able to open the doors!!!
