The storm has passed

Hi all thanks to many of you who were praying for me on Monday when the storm was raging outside - and boy was it raging here in Tramore!!  The winds didn't die down till after midnight but thankfully all was OK here in the house, I did loose power and phone coverage for a few hours but that was all. There were a lot of trees down in the town and lot of damage to houses, sheds etc but all was cleaned up very quickly yesterday and by the time I went down to the beach in the evening you would hardly know a storm had passed by at all! (unless you looked closely)  The pictures below are the fence of the amusements/fair that were blown off their concrete base and of a car park both of which are opposite the prom. Just shows you the power of the sea!!

On Sunday, a sermon on Psalm 121, reminded me that God who made the 'heaven and the earth'  - which includes the powerful wind and the waves - He looks after me and He cares for me!

Psalm 121

I look up to the hills. But where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord. He made heaven and earth.
He will not let you be defeated. He who guards you never sleeps.
He who guards Israel never rests or sleeps.
The Lord guards you.The Lord protects you as the shade protects you from the sun.
The sun cannot hurt you during the day. And the moon cannot hurt you at night.
The Lord will guard you from all dangers. He will guard your life.
The Lord will guard you as you come and go, both now and forever.
